It is about 300m away from Praia do Porto Novo and the Atlantic coastcountless beaches, some of them with private  land access belonging to “Empresa  das Águas do Vimeiro”  which owns Golf Mar Hotel. The Riding Centre is located between these mild hillsides and the Atlantic and it is supplied with a 251 room Hotel, restaurant, panoramic bars, heated indoor pool, outdoor swimming pool, hydrotherapy rooms, gymnasium, games room, disco, tennis courts and golf.

 

You can make interesting  visits to places close to Golf Mar Hotel such as the monumental and historical Vila de Óbidos, Peniche, Nazaré, Caldas da Rainha, Mafra, Ericeira, Cascais, Sintra,Estoril and Lisbon.

 

Since the end of 2001, this resort has undergone improvements to wellcome all those who wish to visit us either for leisure, either for competition. The excellent 9,000m2 grass arena  also comprises a 4,000m2 warming up arena and an indoor arena.

 

Although the Centre has 70 individual boxes which are now being renewed, the Organizing Committee is prepared to provide 210 3x3mt removable boxes  with  water and food supplying areas  for the horses. The truck parking  is prepared to accommodate 60 vehicles providing 12x5mts to each one of them. The parking lot for visitors´cars is now being enlarged and will park 450 cars. There are also parking spots  booked  for riders and sponsors.

 

During the events, the Organization will ensure a bus service between the Riding Centre and the Hotel for the riders and guests’ confort. Apart from providing the Hotel facilities , the Organization will also make sure that all the Bars and Restaurants nearby the Riding Centre are open from 8am till 8pm on competition days.
