In 2007 rewarded by the AJA, Ambassadors Jumping Riders Association, as the best International show in the Ambassadors circuit, which round takes place for the third edition this October from the 1st until the 5th here in Vimeiro.

This show is qualifying for the European Cup 2008 and Challange Cup 2009, taking place in Barcelona. During this event it will hapen the Ambassador Nations Cup and a special competition, Golf & Ride, on October the 3rd, the equestrian competition day-off.

The british rider Graham Lovegrove with Pandur 292 won the Grand Prix in the XIV Vimeiro CSI 3*.

British Robert Whitaker, placed number 17 on the World Ranking, brilliantly wins CSI 4*’s Turismo de Portugal Grand Prix, which is played at 1,60 meters.
This Grand Prix was a qualifying event for the Olympic Games of Beijing 2008, as well as for the 2009 European Championship.

The "Fundação do Gil", with the help of volunteers, has been present at events for which it has been asked to inform of its activity. The Vimeiro Show Jumping, in supporting the "Fundação do Gil" creates an excellent opportunity to let the public know about this Foundation's projects, and allowing the collection of donations, the selling of merchandising or other initiatives. The Children supported by the "Fundação do Gil" deserve our attention.
